Crytek websites hacked, personal details may have been accessed

Crysis developer Crytek has warned users that their personal details may have been accessed in a website breach. The studio took four of its websites offline over the weekend – Crytek.com, MyCrysis.com, Crydev.net and MyCryenginge.com. Each carried the following message: “We recently became aware of suspicious activity relating to some of Crytek’s websites, and acted quickly to take those websites offline for security reasons.” The developer subsequently said in a statement issued toEurogamer that users’ personal data may have been compromised. “Our Crytek.com, Mycryengine.com, Crydev.net and MyCrysis.com sites were all subject to a security breach that may have resulted in some users’ login data being compromised,” a Crytek spokesperson stated.
